Operation front room redo is in full swing and wanted to share the progress/ deals I’ve found.
I wish I could locate a before picture of our home when we moved in 6 years ago….I’ll do some hunting. We’ve made several changes, crown molding, new baseboards and trim, hardwood floors etc. We missed all the architectural details of our 1910 home, plus, carpet doesn’t work well with our shed machine sweetie that we love 🙂 Clover!! Not to blame it all on her, hardwood is a better fit for me….allergy queen.
When my husband and I talked about the redo we knew we needed some key pieces of furniture, a sofa and a few chairs. My wonderful friend LeAnn just so happened to have exactly what we were looking for. We purchased an apt size sofa and two slipper chairs from her. Thank you LeAnn, great deal!
Below are pics of the progress. My mom and I went to the Pottery Barn outlet and scored on some great pieces. The coffee table original price 349.00 on sale 129.99, The Pottery Barn Logan Hutch and base normally together is 1,105.00, I was able to get it with tax 158.97 for both pieces…it had a few minor little marks that can be touched up and not noticed. I purchased the little bird tree table at Pier 1 for 39.00. The mirror was a great find at Restoration Hardware outlet for 90% off, it had a few nicks on the corners, but that’s just how I like it 🙂 I’m now working on the long wall, trying to figure out if I really want the mirror there or pictures. If I go with the mirror I’ll need to make some changes to the wall. I’ll post my decision… for now, this is what I have going on. Oh, I forgot about the rug, I couldn’t remember where I got it. I happened to see the same thing at Lowe’s tonight for 19.99. The drapes and accessories are from PB. I’ll show a pic of the completed room when it is done.

Pair of chairs from LeAnn (below) At first my husband said “no arms, that’s just not right” then he sat in one and said “suprisingly comfortable, I guess I can just fold my hands on my lap instead of letting them dangle down….they’ll work fine.” 🙂

Thinking about what to do with this long wall:) update …I’m still thinking about this wall. I have a few choices….hummm Maybe I’ll get your opinion 🙂 Just to confuse myself more 🙂 I’ll add the options soon.
