Twin Headboard Makeover

 

I’ve been gathering ideas and inspiration for my moms DIY daybed project. I came across a wonderful example of a $10 garage sale transformation at Country Living. The photos show the process, it’s fantastic!!  I’m on the hunt for a good deal on some twin headboards, hope to find some this weekend.

They painted, toned, glazed and waxed the bed.  Sounds more like an all day spa treatment lol!! We’ll probably just paint and sand to distress.

Here she is laying out the batting and fabric for the padded insert.
