cupcake in a jar- Memorial Day treat!

May 30, 2010

I love the idea of a cute cupcake in a jar for a holiday treat or for any time… Thank you cakies !!!click on cakies for all the details.!     I know it might be a rush to pull this off, and unless you have bakers twine sitting around and wooden spoons, you’ll have to improvise…oh, I forgot jars too.  I’m planning on doing a quick take on the idea by using a box cake and either small clear glasses or small clear punch glasses. I don’t have bakers twine so I’ll have to use regular twine, kite string or ribbon and little white plastic spoons. It would be cute with white spoons and blue ribbon for Memorial day!

See how they are made from cupcakes and frosting…Yum!! The enjoy stickers are so cute!

I love the wooden spoons!! How cute would these be for a wedding, picnic or even a shower!

This is very cute. However, for Memorial or Independence Day, I would modify the combo. I would make sure the cupcakes have red food coloring. And instead of raspberries, I would use blueberries—in order to give as close a look of red, white and blue as possible.

oh wow. I didn’t realize that second to top layer was simply more cupcake. Well, nevertheless, a possible fruit/cupcake parfait might be fun. Very good idea. Thanks for pointing to it.

Whoah – what a great idea! A friend of mine had the 1st Red Velvet cake I ever saw at a wedding (other than Steel Magnolias – hah!) This would be perfect for her baby shower. Thanks for sharing!
