Favorite thing from IKEA

July 19, 2010

Someone asked on a blog I was reading “What is your favorite thing from IKEA” …. do you want to know one of my favorites ……….. well its…

….These glasses

I think they have a casual elegance 🙂 and we use them everyday…..

they can even be used for a vase in a pinch 🙂

They’re 9.99 for a six pak. Check them out next time you are at IKEA.

Do you have a favorite thing or are there to many??

I love Ikea, those glasses are pretty. I have similar ones too. I can literally spend a whole day there just looking and getting ideas for crafts projects. My wheels spin out of control when I’m there. I like the way they set up the rooms too. Like the kitchens and the bedrooms, very cool. Makes me want to redecorate my entire home every time I’m there, hehe.

Thanks for coming over to visit and following. I’m following you too.

    Rene,

Those glasses are beautiful and sooooo inexpensive! My favorite Ikea item is their furniture with the washable slips. Not only can you change the look as the mood strikes you, but you can take them off and wash them when they get dirty. Brilliant!!

Nice glasses and I like that at that price you won’t cry if one breaks. I’m going to pick a favorite that is something I don’t actually own. Yet. Just don’t tell my husband that last part.

I’ve had my eye on the Ung Drill frame for a while but couldn’t justify the purchase since I had no idea what I’d use it for. Then I saw a clever blogger online who not only spray painted hers a funky color but she also realized it makes a neat stencil. We have an oddly-shaped living room with an awkward wall that I haven’t been able to decorate properly but now I’m envisioning a few stenciled versions of the frame in contrasting colors with the original frame hanging in the middle. I could put some pretty fabric in the frame for an extra burst of color. Now I just have to convince my husband to head into the city so we can make the trip to Ikea some weekend.

We don’t have an IKEA where I live :(. However, we were just in Minneapolis and visited the IKEA there. I bough these glasses. I plan to use them for parfait glasses or to make a Mojito in. It’s probably a good thing there isn’t one here, eventhough it’s inexpensive, I would still spend too much. Love your blog!

I was thinking (like Julie above), these would make a beautiful parfait glass! They are extra nice for everyday!

One of my favorite things is their corked glass bottles. I keep extra water in them out in the garage fridge. They are ready to grab for picnics, hikes, etc. LOVE THEM! They are inexpensive, so I fill them with lemonade for extra drinks when I take meals to friends.

Love ’em!! There’s something for everyone at Ikea – of this I am sure!

ps- I have to tell you again how perfectly beautiful your blog is. I need to jazz mine up but I still always love the clean look so much. Question – did you start off with a blogger URL or were you always at your own site? I wonder if I should make that switch – but it scares me!
