farmhouse pitchers

July 22, 2010

Do you remember the 5 House Girl poem from this post? …. well I’m going to try and share a different home inspiring idea from one of the home styles listed in the poem each week. This week coming up I’m going to focus on the country Farm House….

I noticed something that I love when I look at most Country Home and Farmhouse books… they all have something in common….  pitchers…many are full of blooms and some are full of twigs……

Do you have a pitcher you’d like to fill with blooms, sticks…kitchen tools…???

I have a few I’m going to spray paint this week…. and another one I’m going to fill with kitchen tools.

Since this is what my current non-organized kitchen tool drawer looks like…embarrassing!!

I’m thinking a pitcher won’t do the trick, I might need a few dividers too!!

Lovely pictures, Rene. The farmhouse look is sure big here, actually everywhere! I enjoy looking at it, but as far as living with it, it’s a little too rustic for me. I look forward to more of your posts. Thanks so much!

Pitchers full of flowers are so relaxing. I wish I had flowers in my yard that I could cut every day and bring inside. Not so easy to do here in Florida.

    Rene,
Thank you for the beautiful pictures. Yes, I can see myself living there. 🙂 It is so serene, calming and relaxing!!

By the way, when did you come into my kitchen and take a picture of my kitchen tool drawer?

Beautiful pictures…very homey and comfy looking. I love pitchers. I don’t know what it is about them. I have one that I keep on my kitchen counter with nothing in it. I just like the way it looks:)

My kitchen drawer used to look just like yours..lol I did buy some dividers and it is much better now. Now, I just have to work on the other drawers!
