Some of you know that since the passing of our sweet Clover we made a decision to get on a waiting list for a Lab puppy. We were so looking forward to having another sweet little Lab to love…. but we were faced with the decision to say “no” we can’t have one right now. I was informed that continually being exposed to allergies on a 24/7 basis would hinder my progress toward health and wellness. I knew I had allergies to Clover but they didn’t seem extreme… I took necessary precautions….I was always careful not to touch my eyes after petting her etc….. The things I did made having her OK, I guess I just never realized to what degree it was hindering my immune system.
Anyway, when I heard the news today, that the puppy we had been waiting for was born on Thanksgiving, it made me really said 🙁 we would have had our own little turkey 🙂
I sure hope we’ll be able to have another one someday…… I just love those little pumpkin pies!!
i didn’t know you were so allergic to dogs? I remember your sweet Clover story & I know you miss her…..I still think of the pets we’ve lost….they’re all family…..

You should consider the Labradoodle or Goldendoodle, since you have allergies. We have 2 goldendoodles, one is more poodle so no shedding, etc. The other sheds a small amount, just something to consider.

I don’t sneeze and have puffy eyes …but I have other symptoms like itchy and stuffy nose and itchy eyes if I touch her and touch my eyes. I just lived with it, and it was worth it… because I loved her so much….
oh…also… that isn’t a picture of Clover it is from the place we would have gotten our little pumpkin….. it could have been ….. because it looks just like her 🙂 Thank you for your comments and I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving 🙂
Susan…thank you for your thoughts…those golden doodles sound really sweet with little shedding…I was told No to any pets right now. Well, I should rephrase…it is up to us …. we can get a pet, it will just take longer in my program to get well. Have a blessed day and thank you for your comment 🙂
