coach purse: on the cheap

August 13, 2011

I love checking out the old school purses when I’m thrifting and

going to garage/estate sales.

A few months ago I snagged this classic coach purse for under $10.

 The funny thing is…it’s very

similar to one I had 26 years ago. Mine had a long strap

and was a little more rectangular shape.

These purses hold up amazingly well. It must be due to the

quality of craftsmanship and leather they use..

Added bonus….The real brass hardware

gets a fantastic patina as it ages.

When looking for the real old school deal, look for the inner

coach stamp and the exterior coach leather tag.

Janices Legacy Bag $248.00

The Coach website has this classic style listed at $248.00.

It’s called Janice’s Legacy

It may seem boring, but plain has its perks.

Do you have an old coach purse? You might want to

bring it out of the archives…

Everything old is new again …right 🙂

You can also tell a real Coach by making sure the zipper says “YKK”.

Thanks Deb…I wonder what year they started using the TKK zipper.
I don’t see the YKK on my old classic. What part of the zipper is it on… Mine has a leather tab.

Awesome find! Looks like it’s in great condition! Also interesting that the swing pack is very much in fashion these days. 🙂 Lucky you.
