Find the best Apple Pie recipe and make it!

October 5, 2011

I’m in search for the best Apple pie recipe. Do you have a favorite?

I would love to go to the orchard and get some really good apples for a pie.

I thought it would be a good idea to find the very best recipe with the

highest reviews and bake that one. I haven’t done it yet, but it sounds

like fun. I think I’ll make a big pot of home made vegetable soup to go

along with it.

I’m going to try and go to the orchard tomorrow.

Here’s the recipe I decided to make from All recipes:

Grandma Ople’s Apple Pie

Check out the picture that someone shared of the Grandma Ople

Pie they baked…beautiful!! This is a 5 star recipe with 1,313 reviews. wow!!

Can’t wait to make it!

Fact: My mother has won every.single. apple pie contest she’s ever entered. Maybe someday I’ll post her recipe on my blog. 😉

Cathy…Thank you so much for sharing your love for this recipe and that you’ve baked it for years. Did you pour the syrup mixture over the top like it says? I found that part really interesting.

You know.. I usually have apple pie filling that I have canned and then I make my dough–so technically I don’t have an actual pie recipe-maybe I should make it!
