I remember going to estate sales with my mom and dad and finding really unique things at great prices. It was exciting. Thrifting became a treasure hunt at savers and goodwill and more fun than buying new at the mall. In the late 80s & 90’s it was really easy to find great pieces of thrilted furniture to paint or strip and finish.
In the 80s and 90s, people might wonder why I thrift shop.
Perhaps it’s because I like finding vintage or unusual pieces that I might not be able to find anyplace else.
But the real joy might be in the fun little discoveries of hidden treasures.

This pretty little set will work great for showers and ladies events and I got it for a steal! $6.99
Oh, I also found a few more milk glass vases for my collection.
Fun stuff! These were the good old days when you’d see maybe a handfull of people in the stores.
