Natural Carpet Cleaning :: A green way to clean

May 14, 2013

Most of us are looking for ways to keep our homes safe from harsh chemicals but also want a clean environment. When it comes to cleaning your carpets, HOST Dry Extraction Carpet Cleaner fits the bill perfectly! Host is an environmentally friendly carpet cleaning system that will reduce dust mites and mold while leaving your carpet fresh, clean, dry and ready to use. It is made from 100% plant-based resources and a little water making it a wonderfully green product.

The HOST product works much like a kitchen sponge to wash and absorb dirt from your carpet fibers. Using a limited amount of water, this system prevents liquid from running back down into your carpet backing where it is difficult to remove and can wick back up. The organic HOST sponges contain all the liquid needed to dissolve and absorb both water based and oil based dirt. And since little water is used, your carpet will be fresh, clean, dry and ready to use in no time!

natural carpet cleaningRoutinely cleaning your carpet helps reduce allergens and improve air quality. Just one cleaning with the Host system reduces dust mites by 78%, cat allergens by 85% as well as a dramatic reduction in mold and mold spores. The system was great for me because I deal with so many allergies. It worked well for Martha Stewart also: “I’ve used HOST Cleaner with great success and it’s good for all types of carpet. Plus I love that it’s environmentally friendly.”

If you would like to give HOST a try in your home you can find professional cleaners for HOST  or find a store who carries their products to do it yourself . There is also a kit available online. Please see hostdry.com for more tips and information.

I think you’ll really like it, Bethany.
It’s totally different than the wet system we’re use to. They just sprinkle the saw dust looking (tiny sponges) stuff all over and
work it in with the scrubber….next they vac it up and you can walk on it right away!!! If you go to their site they have youtube videos
that even explains it greater detail.
I love that it helps with allergy issues!!

I would recommend that you use the Host product following a thorough carpet clean. Its a good product but this will make it more effective.
