Trip to Sephora: one of my favorite items

March 16, 2011

Recently, while I was on a little shopping trip with some sweet friends 🙂

I purchased one of my favorite things at Sephora. The benetint liquid lip and cheek stain.

This little bottle (that is packaged like a nail polish) lasts me a REALLY LONG time!

Not only does the bottle last a long time, but it has staying power on the lips.  Normally,

I put something on my lips and after I eat or just for whatever reason it is totally gone.

I asked the lady at Sephora (sooo helpful) what she would recommend for my dilemma

and she said BeneFit Benetint. It’s the kissable

lip stain that is great for brides and anyone who wants color to last on their lips…. you can eat and it’s still there.

I like the fact that it isn’t a lipstick and adds color to the lips in a natural…won’t rub off way. Not to say if you are

kissing someone it won’t stain their lips…hehe that’s kind of funny thought!

Anyway, I do have to warn you …. this stuff is potent. Dark lips don’t look best on me so I have kind of a silly method that I use just in case you are interested. Since I don’t like double dipping I use a Q tip and use that for the applicator.I sparingly apply benetint to my lips…. then I rub it off with tissue so it doesn’t look dark. Here’s the best part…. I save the stained Qtip…..once it dries out I use it again by simple re-wetting it. At that point, it is actually the perfect color for me. I can let it  dry and even reuse it again. This method not only extends the usage of the lip stain but gives me the best color potency. Sometimes I even rub my finger over my lips and then rub the apples of my cheeks for a little added color.

    HI Rene’

I was sent here through a blog that I follow: the blog guidebook. I’m so thankful too! I browsed your site really quick and I’m enjoying it so much. Thanks for all your info. I can’t wait to keep reading…

    Ps. I love benetint!

I like Benetint too. I’m using a similar product sold at the Body Shop called Lip & Cheek Stain. It fits in your purse.

Kristin…I like the sounds of that. Do they have different colors?
